For students, there should be nothing more reassuring than being told that the skills you’re learning are the very skills that companies value most. A recent study suggests that what SPS students are learning in CIS and communication courses will definitely be of value in the workplace.
This coming quarter, the Student Computing Center is glad to be adding instructional tutorials to our website for the first time. The first round of tutorials will cover two topics: the ribbon in Microsoft Office, and basic formatting in Microsoft Word. You can expect to see these tutorials posted to the website in January 2014.
The Computing Center staff will continue to develop tutorials in the future, so if you have an idea for a tutorial topic, feel free to let us know! Either drop by our staff office in room 104, Building 34, or shoot us an email at [email protected]. You can also give us a call at 360-596-5273. We’d love to hear your thoughts on what computer-related questions are important to you! |
